My submission, Among Dragons, is a black and white drawing of a woman, inspired by Zoe’s essence, with her braids and scarf becoming colorful as they fade into colored pencil drawings of dragons. The woman at the center is becoming part of the world of wisdom, grace, and balance that dragons represent. Like Zoe, I process life through my creations and discussions, and I am inspired by the fact that Zoe’s art acted as a place of comfort for her when she needed to process something in her own way. With this piece, I depict that world she used as an escape, along with the belief that she is now Among Dragons.
