For my piece, I was inspired by Zoe’s playfulness, as well as show her love and empathy for others. I showed how squirrels, frustrated with humans taking away their resources and land, are trying to level the playing field by getting back what was stolen from them. As I saw how free flowing and surrealist Zoe’s art could get, I wanted to show a serious situation portrayed in a light manner in a similar way to how Zoe portrayed her political messaging.
