For this piece, I was very inspired by Zoe’s positive attitude and colorful aura. From what I read on the website and the pictures saved on her Pinterest account, I feel that Zoe was a very whimsical and joyous person who always had a smile on her face. As a stylistic choice, I chose not to use any black in this piece to reiterate her colorful personality. I only used very dark shades of gray or blue to emphasize darkness without taking away the vibrancy of the piece. Not only did I draw pictures of Zoe, but I also included hints of her artwork that can be seen in the bug tile at the top right and the butterfly inspired by one of her paintings shown on the website.
